Yinka
We have been friends for 30 years. I am deeply touched and hurt by your departure. Just like that!
I keep having flashbacks. Remember room B2, Independence hall at the University of Ibadan in 1977? All the fun we had with other roommates: Bola Okubadejo, Dare Fadeyi, and Boye Komolafe.

All the fun we had at Oke Ado, Ibadan. Remember? You are a dear friend indeed. Always smiling. You will be really missed by us all.

Yinkuse,
By sheer providence we shared the same heritage, as we are both great grandchildren of Segbua Fajuke a.k.a(A pade ika maya, a jeun sinu de iku), of egbe-idi quarters in ilesa, osun state of nigeria.
We have literally lived our lives together the past 45 years, sharing both the ups and downs of life. My fun loving, ever smiling Yinkus, i will always be proud of the good life you lived and remember with fond memories our fun filled relationship(escapades).
Our last meeting in chicago in the year 2003 will remain indelible, you extended natural love to my wife the kids and myself.
I feel great being your cousin and thank God for the exemplary good life you lived.
Yinkuse, you have had the last laugh over the evil teenagers and Elliot Peterson who pulled the trigger that cut short your good life and caused great pains to Nike your darling wife, Segun, Deji your sons and others.
The parting is painful and shocking but i will forever remember YOU a good cousin and a great friend.
A truely good person is gone.
O digba, sunre o, omo owa omo ekun.

Papa Yinkus,
For those who know you, your untimely death was both heartbreaking and devastating. For those who didn't, they missed one of the most loving, light-hearted and unique person that anyone could hope to meet. A man whose deeds of generosity and selflessness will live forever in all our memories,
It will take me all my life to get over your dead, it is impossible to put in words your lost to all of us, but as Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 4:13 “we do not want YOU to be ignorant concerning those who are sleeping [in death]; that YOU may not sorrow just as the rest also do who have no hope”, as we both share the hope that just a little while, our dead one will surely live again, in a world free of wickedness and only righteous one will dwell.
Sleep well my Brother, as I look forward to welcome you to the world you truly deserve.

To my husband, Adeyinka Abimbola Ogunniyi.
Yinka, the love of my life, you were and always be remembered as a wonderful, loving, and great husband.
Rest peacefully, my love. As I continue this journey of life, I will always remember and cherish your signature smile... Your smile warms my heart and soothes my soul.
Rest peacefully, my love. I am grateful for our children; I am grateful for our wonderfulfriends. Thank you for your love, patience, and understanding with the children. You exemplified fatherhood in many ways.

Rest peacefully, my love. You promised me an eternal love; you have always kept your promise. We will meet again in paradise, where there are no pains and no more sorrows, where there is no more dying. Sleep well in the Lord, my love. I will forever love you. I hope to see you again in the new system of things that we both preached.

Rest peacefully, my love and only love.

It all still look like a trance. So, is this how each and every one of us will be infected by this inherited disease called death? Sir Yinkuse, I am still waiting for somebody to tell me it wasn’t true that you’ve slept in death. Well, we will mourn you by appreciating every minute of breathing, be spiritually conscious in order to be happy and hopeful.

Hope is the last thing that dies. We are hopeful in resurrection when death the last enemy will be brought to nothing. 1 Corinthians 15: 16.

Till then.

Bros Yinkus,
Your death was a big shock to us all, We lost you at the time friends and family memebers needed you most, Your good qualities will remain in our memory for ever.
We know we shall see soon when this system of things reach it's aftermath and the new system take over, when the human gratest enemy would be history when no one will say i am sick, The time when we all leave for ever(2pet 3:13,Psalm 37:9-11)till then sleep well.
